Improving Access on Hartham Lane

When we acquired Hartham Park in January 2024, we were made aware of a longstanding issue with winter flooding along Hartham Lane, which had historically rendered the road impassable during heavy rainfall. We experienced this firsthand shortly after taking ownership, when the lane was blocked and inaccessible to vehicles in early January 2024.

Collaborative Repairs and Improvements

Since then, Hartham Park has worked closely with the local council and neighbouring farmers to implement lasting solutions and significantly improve the condition of the lane. Key actions taken include:

• Dredging of roadside drains by local farmers
• Repair of a collapsed drain, undertaken by the council
• Jetting and clearing of blocked drains, carried out by our on-site team

Ongoing Maintenance

To prevent further issues, our estate team now carries out regular inspections and maintenance to ensure the lane remains clear and accessible.

Lane Status

We’re pleased to report that since May 2024, Hartham Lane has remained fully operational with no closures due to flooding.
