A peaceful, character‑filled stay with lovely outdoor space
We had the most wonderful stay at Maze Garden Cottage. The cottage itself is beautifully presented — clean, bright and full of charming details — and the garden is a real highlight. We spent mornings sipping coffee outside and evenings by the fire pit under the stars.
Inside, everything we needed was provided, and the kitchens and living space felt very comfortable and homely. The location is wonderfully tranquil yet just a short drive from Bath, Lacock and nearby villages, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. We all agreed it was one of our favourite cottage stays. Would definitely come back!

Charming, comfortable and a perfect country escape
We stayed at The Gate Lodge for a long weekend and absolutely loved it. The cottage is beautifully appointed – spacious bedrooms, a cosy living area and a lovely garden where we enjoyed our morning coffee. The kitchen was well equipped, and the roll‑top bath was such a treat after full days exploring the countryside.
The location is peaceful yet conveniently close to Bath, Lacock and Castle Combe, so we had the perfect balance of relaxation and sightseeing. The views over the parkland are stunning, and free parking and fast self check‑in made our stay seamless. It really felt like a proper getaway – we’d definitely stay here again.

A truly relaxing and beautiful stay at Church Lodge
We stayed at the Church Lodge during a long weekend and it was absolutely lovely. The cottage was spacious, beautifully light and had everything we needed — the kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the classic roll‑top bath was a real treat after days out exploring the Cotswolds.
The location beside the historic church and overlooking the Hartham Park grounds made it feel like a peaceful country escape, yet it was only a short drive to Bath and charming nearby villages. The views from the windows were gorgeous, and free parking made arrival easy. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our stay – will definitely come back!
